Eleanora "Jean" Sacobie of Kingsclear First Nation, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on July 13, 2018 at the age of 77. Born May 15, 1941 in Oromocto, NB to the late John and Mary Alice (Polchies) Sabattis.

Jean was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and worked for Kingsclear First Nation as a homemaker. She loved to cook, do yard sales, attend jamborees and sit with family. She loved her family. She retired in 2011 and dedicated her time to doing things that she liked to do. Special mention and gratitude of love to her granddaughter Mandy, who moved in with her grandmother Jean and took very good care of her during the past 7 years, a very trying and difficult time of her life.

She is survived by her daughter Roberta (Steve) Meuse; 2 grandchildren Mandy Meuse (Steven Triska) and Kyle; 5 great grandchildren Kaleb, Kree, Karlee, Devyn, Taeya; brother Frank Sabattis (Melanie); sisters Loretta Sabattis (Arthur), Cora Tomer, Rosemary Young (David). Special friend/sister Audrey Solomon; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Malcolm Sabattis (Bernadette) and daughter Dawn Marie Sacobie; brothers Maynard, Wilfred, Ambrose, Royden and Johnny; sisters Molly, Ann and June. Special mention and "Thank You" to Melanie Solomon for dedicating her time to assist Jean, by driving her to and from her medical appointments.

Resting at 208 Tomahawk Extension, Kingsclear First Nation with visitation beginning Tuesday July 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. A mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church on Wednesday July 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Curtis Sappier officiating. Burial to follow with Interment in the St. Anne’s Kingsclear Cemetery.  Pallbearers are great nephews Hunter Atwin, Gabriel Atwin, Adrian Sabattis, Jesse Sabattis, Kenneth Tomer, Matthew Tomer, Mike Tomer and Eric Young.
