Ursula passed away peacefully at the DECH in Fredericton at the age of ninety-eight on July 10, 2018. The daughter of Gerald and Violet Lloyd, she married, bore two sons, was widowed after thirty-three years and lived almost her entire life in Saint John, with the last few years in Fredericton.
Ursula was a champion bridge player who loved to entertain and cook. After years of being a professional MOM she worked for Irving Oil from 1968 until retirement. In earlier years she was a member of the IODE. Years later, she was a volunteer cook for Hospice in Saint John.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Lloyd in 1973, and her sister Geraldine. She is survived by sons David (Wendy) and Peter (Alice), four grandchildren - Caleigh Nielsen (Matt), Liam Young, Chelsey Hoard (Ryan) and Jordan Young, four great-grandchildren - Carson and Emerson Nielsen and Logan and Maia Hoard, three nieces - Joey Gaines (Billy), always there for Ursula, Judianne Carter (Geoff), and Joanne Moran (John Thomsen) and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A special HUGE thank you from the family goes to the staff at Pine Grove Nursing Home, who made the past two and a half years loving and special for Ursula.
