Albert Wallis Critchlow of Fredericton, age 84, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning on April 29, 2018.

Born in Staffordshire, England in 1933, he emigrated with his family to Canada in 1969.

Spouse of Bernadette Olive Critchlow of Saint John NB, loving father of Nicholas (Dorothy Critchlow (Hunt), Thomas (Michelle Crawford), Jane (Stanislaus Mackiewicz) and Sarah. Beloved grandfather to Cameron, Aidan, Emma and Sophia Rose and brother of Jean McBean of Buckinghamshire, England.

Albert also leaves behind numerous family members in England.

Born on The Farm, in Staffordshire, Albert (known as Bert) began his professional career with British Thermal Electric.  In Canada he worked in the nuclear power industry in Ontario and New Brunswick. After retiring, he eventually settled in Fredericton, NB.

A self-educated man with varied interests, Bert loved music, photography, nature, gardening and animals, and above all, dogs. He was known by many neighbors for his "doggy day care." Over the years, Bert rescued many dogs who found a loving home with him.

Bert lived a life of acceptance and unconditional love.

Family, friends and neighbors are invited to a celebration of his life at his home (33 MacIntosh St., Nethervue Park, Fredericton, NB) on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the New Brunswick Lung Association or the Fredericton SPCA in Bert’s name would be greatly appreciated.
