It is with sad hearts that the family of Richard (Desi) Clarence Desmond, formerly of Geary, NB, announce his passing on Monday, April 23, 2018 at White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction, NB. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Born in Yarmouth, NS on April 1, 1947, he was a son of the late Robert C. and Phyllis L. (McKinnon) Desmond. Richard was a Machinist by trade and a self-employed Appliance Repairman.

Richard is survived by his wife of 37 years, the former Juanita J. Grass; a son, Leo LeMoine (Loretta Carr) of Geary; 3 granddaughters, Gracie, Brianna and Isabelle; 3 grandsons, Jessie, Dylan and Cameron; a brother, Bobby Desmond (Sharon) of Rusagonis; 3 nephews, Christopher, David and Timothy Desmond; a special niece Christina Grass and a special great-niece, Alaina Tracy; father-in-law Carl Grass; sisters-in-law, Muriel Boone, Charlene Corkum (Andrew), Wilma Grass and Esther Cote (Doug).

Aside from his parents, Richard was predeceased by a son Guy LeMoine; sister-in-law Phyllis Desmond and his mother-in-law Joyce Grass.

Richard’s request for no formal funeral service or visitation will be respected. Cremation will take place and his ashes will be interred in the Geary, French Lake, Waterville Cemetery at a later date.
