At Hospice Fredericton on April 13, 2018, Dolly Kathleen Booker of Fredericton passed away at the age of 88. Born in Ripples, NB, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Rena Brooker and wife of the late Earl Thomas Booker Sr., who passed away in 2002. Dolly loved to knit and spend time with her grandchildren. In years past, she was an avid bingo player. She also enjoyed reading her romance novels, crafts, music and watching TV. Dolly was the type of person who always put the needs of everyone else ahead of her own.

She is survived by her 5 children Eugene McLean (Barb) of Richmond Corner, NB, Myles McLean (Linda) of Stoney Creek, ON, Joy Booker of Silverwood, NB, Earl Booker Jr. of Fredericton, Trudy Booker of Silverwood; 7 grandchildren Norbert, Dana, Debbie, Teresa, Nicholas, Travis and Kyle; 5 great grandchildren; a sister Lorna Richard of Lincoln, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by 2 sisters Elva Jordan and Nellie Jordan; her biological father Charles Ackerson.

The family will receive friends at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Sunday April 15, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will then be held at 12:00pm with Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. Interment will be held in Ripples, NB at a later date. Contributions to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
