The passing of Claude Edward Hoben of Fredericton occurred on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born in Fredericton NB, he was a son of the late Ranie and Sadie (McFawn) Hoben

Anglican by faith, "Pete" enjoyed playing Hockey, Baseball and Softball and was a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Canadiens.

A jack of all trades, he was employed with the Ford Motor Company, NB Power, as well as being a skilled Mason and all around general laborer.

Survived by one son Thomas, two brothers; William "Bill" Hoben of Fredericton, Randy Hoben (Cathy) also of Fredericton, three sisters Joan Belyea of Fredericton, Marsha Moore (Edison) of Fredericton and Caroline Cusack of Fredericton, several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by 4 brothers; Kenneth, Richard, Danny and George.

There will be no visitation. However, a memorial service will be held on Monday, April 16th, 2018 at 2 PM from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel 540 Woodstock Road with Rev. Dr. Karl Csaszar officiating, with a reception to follow.  A private Interment will be held in the Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road has been entrusted with his arrangements. For those who wish to donate in Pete’s memory, the family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation
