It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Joyce (Hello) Levesque on March 28, 2018 at Thomas Hall Nursing Home Shannexin Fredericton NB. Born on March 31, 1933, she was the wife of the late Bernard Levesque (1985) and daughter of the late Joseph and Mathilda (Malouf) Hello.

A wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she took great pride in her immediate and extended family.  Joyce will be sadly missed by her four children, Carol Ann Levesque of Gaspé, Mike (Wanda) Levesque of Beresford, Lise Cook (Brian Bellefountaine) and Lynn Levesque both of Fredericton. Her six grandchildren: Amy Lynn, Simon (Marie Elaine), Sheri (Matt), Mathieu (Mylene), Jennifer (Nick) and Jessica (Evan), four great grandchildren: Theo, Raphael, Mason and Arthur, her sister-in-law Marielle Allard, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her sister Marie (Hello) Wilding, her brothers/sister-in-laws, Paul and Bernadette Richard of Ottawa, Edmond Levesque of Sept-Îles and son-in-law, Dennis Cook of Fredericton.

Joyce was born in Saskatoon SK, but lived most of her adult live in Pointe à la Croix PQ and Campbellton NB prior to moving to Fredericton in 2008.   Besides raising her family, she enjoyed long careers with Woolworths as Personnel Manager and with Scotiabank retiring as Assistant Manager Personal Loans. After retirement she sold real estate for a few years.

Joyce enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, loved the beach (especially Parlee Beach), the Restigouche River and camping.  In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, reading, knitting and socializing.   She also took great pride in her Lebanese heritage and loved introducing the food to new people.

The family would like to thank the physicians and all the staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital and Shannex, Fredericton for their kindness and care, with special thanks to Dr. Paula Carmichael and Dr. Kelsey Cameron for the care they gave their mother the last few years.

Should friends and family desire, memorial donations may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Liver Foundation.

To honour her wishes,  arrangements are under the care and direction of Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne Street Campbellton NB (506-789-1699) and a memorial service will be held July 3rd at 1 PM at the Maher's Chapel in Campbellton.
