It is with great sadness that the family of Sharon Gladys McLeod announces her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB, on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the age of 73.  She was the wife of the late Wayne Grant.  Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (Flemming) Banks.

Sharon was a jack of all trades.  She loved her time spent as a homecare worker, her road trips with Wayne, and visiting her family.  She also had a love for solar lights and growing flowers.

 Sharon will be greatly missed by her three children, Terry-Lynn Currie (Shawn) of London, ON, Lori McLeod (Carlos) of Mississauga, ON, and Marianne Lavigne (Aaron) of Bathurst, NB; six grandchildren, Jodi Currie, Lindsey Morgan, Caitlin McLeod, Joey McLeod-Beato, Tamara Smith-McLeod, J.J. Smith-McLeod; two great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Brayden; six siblings, Ronnie Banks (Elaine), Irvine Banks (Judy), Alan Banks (Linda), Ricky Banks (Maryanne), Kathy Cook (Jim), and Terry Banks (Suzanne); several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog, Teddy.  In addition to her husband and parents, Sharon was predeceased by her sister, Carol Ladds.

The family will be receiving friends at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, between 12:00 – 1:45pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.  A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Neville Gosman officiating.  Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
