On Tuesday, March 6, 2018 Wesley Robert Bustard completed his earthly journey and entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ while a resident of Hospice House, Fredericton. Born in Monument Settlement, NB on June 11, 1939, he was a son of the late Raymond and Beatrice (Watson) Bustard.

Wesley was employed as a machine operator with Connors Brothers Ltd., Blacks Harbour, NB for many years. He was an active member of Capital Community Church, Fredericton, where he was a dedicated and faithful member of the Usher Ministry.

Wesley leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Joyce M. Hanson-Bustard; two sons, Kevin (Anna Marie) Bustard of BC and Justin (Nicole) Bustard of Germany; one daughter, Lisa Bustard of St. Stephen; a step-son, Keith (Wendy)Hanson of Nashwaak Village; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wesley also leaves behind 13 brothers and sisters, Rev. Vernon (Judy) Bustard, Marie Lloyd, Rev. Arden (Betty Ann) Bustard, Mildred (Brent) Patterson, Carol Bustard, Katherine (Eric) Williams, Joanne (James) Post, Eugene Bustard, Gary (Edna) Bustard, Janice (Frank) Galbraith, Faith (Wayne) Galbraith, Rev. Lloyd (Pamela) Bustard and Rev. Morton (Marilyn) Bustard; brother-in-law John Gray; numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Wesley was predeceased by brothers, Rev. William Bustard, Howard Bustard, Elmer Bustard, Clifford Bustard and a sister, Hilda Gray.         

Visitation will be held at Capital Community Church, 71 Downing St., Fredericton on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A service celebrating the life of Wesley Bustard will be held from the church on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Raymond Woodward officiating assisted by Rev. Jack Leaman. Burial will take place in the Pennfield Rural Cemetery, NB, later.
