Rev. Murray Robert Sawler of Fredericton, NB passed away peacefully on February 14, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born in Charlottetown, PEI on January 1, 1949 to Hope M. (Campbell) and Murray W. Sawler.

He was an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International, pastoring in the New Brunswick communities of Chipman, Edmundston, Juniper, Bath and Coldstream, as well as being Director of Bannon Bible Camp for many years.

Rev. Sawler was a member of the Capital Community Church, volunteer member of the Spiritual and Religious Care Department at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, as well as a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

Rev. Sawler is survived by a daughter, Karen Turner (Shaun) of Ottawa, ON and a son Robbie Sawler (Stacey) of Lakeville, NB and their mother Rev. Ruth Sawler of Hartland; grandchildren Madeleine, Abigail, and Megan; a sister, Sharon MacLaggan of ON; brothers Paul Sawler (Donna) of Halifax and David Sawler (Valerie) of Fredericton; one aunt, Elizabeth Tuplin of Boston, Mass. as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Capital Community Church, 71 Downing St., Fredericton on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 12:00 Noon to 1:45 PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jack Leaman officiating. Burial will take place later.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the M.S. Society (Atlantic Division) would be appreciated by the family.
