On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, George H. Walton, of Fredericton passed away peacefully at Hospice Fredericton. He was 71. Born in Carleton County NB, he was a son of the Late Howard and Nettie (McLean) Walton.
George was an honest and well-respected business man in Fredericton for several years. He was a hard worker and stood by his word. He loved camping and travelled across the country several times with his trustee companion Matti the cat.
George is survived by his daughter, Megan V. Walton (Alan Pieroway) grandson, Bryce Holden Pieroway, sisters, Idella Reid (Budd) and Janet Lamoreau (Sterling). A good friend Linda McKay, her children and their children, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Cory and brother Gordon.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday February 16th, 2018 from 12 Noon - 2 PM at which time a memorial service will be held with Rev. Dr. Peter Lohnes officiating. Interment will be held later in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or to Hospice Fredericton.
