The passing of Thomas Atwin of Kingsclear First Nation occurred on Monday January 22nd, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Thomas was born in Fredericton, NB on January 9th, 1952. A son of the late Marie Goodine (Atwin) and Henry Goodine.
Thomas was a brother of Michael Goodine (Bev), Timmy Goodine, Ellen Mutch (Wayne), Mary Goodine and Tammy Prudencio (Jorge) as well as Simon Nash, Brian Nash, Tommy Nash, Adam Nash, Ann, Bonnie, Cyndi, Gordon and Steven.
Thomas was Roman Catholic by faith and a member of St. Anne’s Parish in Kingsclear. He was a diligent worker, and was employed on a farm for several years and was also a seasonal landscaper for Kingsclear First Nation.
Surviving are three daughters and one son. Mariah Atwin, Shania Atwin, Dallas Atwin and Jeffrey Paul. Thomas has two grandchildren, River and Cassidy both of Kingsclear. Beside of his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his grandparents Frank and Marjorie Atwin and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Thomas will be missed by his uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Thursday January 25th and Friday January 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Kingsclear First Nation on Saturday January 27th at 11:00 AM.
The family has designated the Canadian Diabetic Association and Lung Association for memorial Donations.
