Unexpectedly on Friday, October 20, 2017, Rev. Aubrey McAllister, a man of simplicity and humility, received his call to Glory while at his home in Minto, NB. Our joy as a family rests in the knowledge that he has fought a good fight, kept the faith and gone on to his heavenly reward. We know his presence with the Lord has become more valuable than his absence on earth. He was greatly loved by his family and friends.

Born Aubrey Gerald McAllister on July 2, 1932 in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of the late Walter and Jessie (Lunergan) McAllister. On May 20 of this year, Aubrey suddenly lost the love of his life, his beloved wife of 67 years, the former Viola Marion Long. He was also predeceased by his son Paul, grandson Kristoffer Michael Riley, several brothers and sisters and his step-mother, Olive (Brown) McAllister.

As a Pastor, his passion was winning souls for the Kingdom of God and building up the church ministry. Our lives were so honored and blessed by the presence of our father. He will be greatly missed by his children, Roger (Judy), Sharon (Bob), David (Shelley), Robin (daughter-in-law), Debbie (Terry), Nancy, Della Mae (Eddy), Cecile, Stephen, Jane and John. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren who held a special place in his heart, siblings, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The family wish to express a special "thank you" to his nephew Eldon MacBeth, and his wife Lorna, who have been a constant help to Aubrey. Their presence in Aubrey’s life has been a source of strength and encouragement over the years and Aubrey loved them very much.

The family will receive condolences at Christian Community Church, 819 Pleasant Dr., Minto, NB on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the same location on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow the service and will be held in the Ripples Community Cemetery.

The family have expressed that memorial contributions be made to Christian Community Church, Minto or to a favorite charity of your choice. Bishop’s Funeral Home, Fredericton (458-1885) have been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed through www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
