It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Charles (Chuck) Hopkins Bragdon at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 8, 2017.

 

Born in Bath, NB, on June 26, 1940, he was the son of the late Wayman and Elizabeth (Hopkins) Bragdon, he spent his youth in Andover, moving to Fredericton in the early 60's. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Vaughn and Robert Bragdon, and sisters Pearl Bragdon and Marie Bryant.

 

Chuck will be missed by his daughter Leanne (Steve) Cooke, New Maryland, grandchildren Brandyn and Chelsea; his son Darren (Karen) Bragdon, Sherwood Park, AB; sister Gayle Bragdon (Fredericton); and friends at Southampton House and The Cabin.

 

The family would like to extend their thanks to everyone who assisted in any way with Dad's care, especially during these past difficult months and extended hospital stay. Special thanks to Dr. Flower, staff of DECRH, SJRH, Dialysis Unit, Ambulance NB, and Extramural Care.

 

Respecting Dad's wishes, an informal reception will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  A private interment will be held at the family plot in the Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery in Andover.  No flowers by request. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity your choice.
