It is with great sadness that the family of John Darrell Reed of Fredericton, surrounded by family announce his passing on September 4, 2017 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 70. Born in Springfield NB on June 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Lewis Reed and Pearl Burden.
John worked in the service industry for over fifty years including Hotels, Restaurants and even driving a cab.
Survived by his wife; Janie Lee Goodine of Mazerolle Settlement, children Pamela Reed of Moncton and Barry (Pauline) Reed also of Moncton, stepchildren Joel Jordan (Michelle) of Fredericton, Amanda (Scott) Redman of Mazerolle Settlement, grandchildren Heidi, Jayden and Lucas, sister Betty Lou Bracken of Niagara Ontario, several nieces, and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Kenny, Archie and Percy and a brother in law Dell Bracken.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road on Saturday September 9th from 1-2 PM, followed by a funeral service from the Funeral Home Chapel at 2PM with Rev. Donald McCarty officiating.
