Aldena Elizabeth Richard, loving wife of the late Aurele Richard, passed away peacefully at York Care Centre in Fredericton on August 1st, 2017. Born in Bloomfield Ridge, NB on April 15th 1929, she was the daughter of the late Hughie and Olive (Norrad) MacDonald. Aldena was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4 where she enjoyed attending dances. She was an avid bingo player and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Aldena leaves behind her daughters Carleen McIntyre (Matthew), Lisa Hughson (David), and Sandra Hatfield (Kim); five grandchildren, Tracey, Melissa (Ryan), Alexander (Laura), Riley, and Dana; five great grandchildren, Tanner, Katie, Emma, Nathan, and Addison.
There will be no visitation by request. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, August 5th 2017 at 11am with Father Monte Peters officiating with a reception immediately following at the church. Burial in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Charitable donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
