On Saturday July 29, 2017, Justin "Jed" Polchies of Woodstock First Nation passed away suddenly at the age 32. Born in Woodstock, NB, Jed loved hunting, fishing, four wheeling and most of all, spending time with his boy.
He is survived by his parents Clifton "Jinx" Sacobie and Stephanie Sacobie; one son Justin "Baby J" Polchies; special parents Chris and Kimberly DeMerchant; brothers Evan, Brady, Dustin (Jessie); special sisters Stevie-Rae and Lacey DeMerchant; companion Monique Boyer;; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special nephew Tanner; paternal grandmother Anita Sacobie. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Stephen and Amber Polchies; paternal grandfather Clifford Sacobie; special sister Kristin DeMerchant; special brother Tanner DeMerchant; uncle Steven Polchies
Visitation will be held at 302 Geegan Street Kingsclear First Nation on Wednesday evening and all day Thursday. A funeral mass will be held on Friday August 4, 2017 at 11 am at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church Kingsclear First Nation. Interment will take place at a later date. The family would appreciate donations to Portage Atlantic Foundation or the Canadian Down Syndrome Society.
