The passing of David Eric Young of Kingsclear 1^st Nation occurred on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, He was 61. Born in Inverness Nova Scotia on June 3^rd, 1956, he was the son of Veronica "Flo" (Phillips) Young and the late William Frederick Young.

David was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed gardening, driving, fixing cars and blueberry harvesting.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of forty years Rosemary, children Terry Young (Justin) of Montreal, Eric of Kingsclear, Francine of Kingsclear, Hannah (Tristan) of Florenceville, John Sabattis and Gage Sabattis, both of Eskasoni Nova Scotia, Herman Sabattis (Holly) of Kingsclear, 6 grandchildren Fred, Thunder, Owen, Ayvah, Thalia and Tanner. Also surviving are his siblings, Frances Young, Herman Young, Barbara Joe (Eddie), James Young (Kelly), Mary Liz Francis, Vivian Paul (Lindsay) Johnny Young (Juanita), Eicka Francis (Barry), Tuma Young (Nick), Inkin Young (Sheraine), Phillip Young (Tena), numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Predeceased by his father Fred Young as well as siblings Daniel and Victor Young.

Resting at 111 Tomahawk Street, Kingsclear 1^st Nation on the evening of Friday July 14th as well as all day Saturday and Sunday July 15^th and 16^th. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 17^th at St. Anne’s Catholic Church Kingsclear 1^st Nation at 12 noon with Father Martin Arputham officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

The Canadian Cancer Society has been designated for memorial contributions. Bishop’s Funeral Home (458-1885) have been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
