Sadly, we announce the passing of Beatrice Marie Buchanan of Fredericton on June 27, 2017 at Hospice House. Born in Burtt’s Corner, NB, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Velma (Jones) Brewer and wife of the late George Buchanan. Beatrice was employed for 38 years with the Province of New Brunswick Natural Resources Department. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, loved her verandah and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons Raymond of Toronto and Kevin of Lake George, NB; four daughters Janette Lord of St. Stephen, NB, Bonny Maranda (Joe) of Minto, NB, Heather Golding (Charles) of Islandview, NB, Tracey Muxworthy (Eric) of Waasis, NB; special grandchildren Andrea, Ashlyn, , Julie Ann, Trestan, Travis, Craig, Paige, Jennifer, Ryan, Peter and Lisa; numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren; one brother Rodney Brewer (Pam); three sisters Roberta Morehouse (Peter), Betty Foster (Stewart), Janet Sargeson (Gordon); several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by a daughter Patricia ; two sisters Neta Burnett and Leah Estey; nephews Doug and Pat Burnett.

The family will receive friends at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Fredericton on Thursday evening from 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday June 30 at 1 pm with The Rev. Cannon Dr. Ross N Hebb officiating. Interment will follow in the Dunphy Cemetery.
