The passing of Carole May Rankine of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton on Monday June 26, 2017. Carole was 79. She was born in Fredericton on March 23, 1938, a daughter of the late Earle and Violet (Barber) Carr.

Carole was a devoted member of St. Anne’s Chapel of Ease in Fredericton and actively involved with St. Peter’s Anglican Church Ladies Auxiliary. A member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.4, Fredericton, Carole was a faithful and strong supporter of the Legion’s Ladies Auxiliary.

Prior to her retirement, Carole was the Administrative Assistant at the Fredericton Medical Clinic for many years.

Carole leaves behind a daughter Cynthia Rankine of Fredericton and a son C. Stephen Rankine (Deborah) of Silverwood. Her two grandsons, Jeremy and Cody Rankine of Fredericton, always held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by a brother, Lewis Carr (Sharon) of Fredericton and a sister, Marilyn Nicholson (Allison) of Silverwood; sister-in-law Charlotte Carr and a special niece, Sandy Nicholson as well as other nieces and nephews.

Aside from her parents, a brother Richard Albert Carr and a sister, Mavis Ann Douglass (late David) predeceased her.

No visitation hours by request. A graveside committal service will be held in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery Extension.
