The passing of Marie Ann Gallant occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the age of 72. Born in Tignish, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Mary Margaret Handrahan.

Marie was Catholic by faith and a loving homemaker to all her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, George; her children Michael Gallant, Patsy Clements (Blair), Steven Gallant (Karen), Derek Gallant (Charlene); 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers Emmett Handrahan (Linda), Steve Handrahan (Judy); sister Marjorie McCrea (Bob); sister-in-law Donna Handrahan; several nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Earl Handrahan.

Honoring Marie’s wishes and following cremation a private family service will be held. Interment will follow at a later date.

Donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Fund.
