Violeta Rodriguez Fernandez Greer passed away peacefully at home on May 27th, 2017 at the age of 97. Born July 15th, 1919 in Mayaguez Puerto Rico to the late Rafael Rodriguez Guaman and Josefina Fernandez Acevedo.
Violeta moved to Canada in 1960, that same year on July 30th she married Hedley Merrill Greer. Members of Brunswick Street Baptist Church. She was employed with H. Greer + Son Ltd. for a number of years with her late husband Hedley, fulfilling the office duties.
Violeta is survived by a step-son Michael Greer (Mavis), step-daughter Betty Pond, niece Violet, nephew Nelson in Florida, and many step grandchildren.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery Extension on Friday June 2 at 10:30.
