It is with great sadness that the family of Lauvinia A. K. (Blizzard) Jones of Fredericton, NB announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  She was born in Fredericton, NB on June 22, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Winnifred C. L. Blizzard, and was the wife of the Late Eric J. Jones.

Lauvinia is survived by sons, Peter Jones of Fredericton, NB, and Patrick Jones (Shelley) of Vimy, AB; granddaughters, Amanda Davey (Justin) of Spruce Grove, AB, and Kayla Dobbs (Simon) of Red Deer, AB; great grandson, Everett Patrick Davey; brother-in-law, Wayne Jones (Joyce) of Tay Creek, NB; nephews, Randy Jones and Kevin Jones of Nova Scotia; niece, Cindy Forbes (Lonnie) of Upper Caverhill, NB; great nephews and great nieces, Ryan Forbes (Amanda), Dawn Forbes (Trent Dore), Mark Forbes (Laura Sewell), and Katelyn Forbes (Justus Lyons) all of New Brunswick; and several aunts and cousins.

Lauvinia worked at the University of New Brunswick Aitken Centre as the Box Office Manager for several years, then at the Province of New Brunswick Department of Advanced Education and Labour, and then at NB Power Materials Management.  She was a lifelong member of St. Margaret’s Anglican Church where she was a Sides Person, and a member of the ACW, the Bible Study Group, the Hospitality Committee, and the Tuesday Morning Coffee Club.  Lauvinia will be missed by all those who knew her.

Visitation will take place at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, 775 Forest Hill Road, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Funeral service will be held at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, 775 Forest Hill Road, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Richard Robinson officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service.  Interment will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
