At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday May 28, 2017 Elizabeth A. Minchin of Fredericton passed away at the age of 94. Born in Toronto, ON, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Dorothy (Phillips) Jarvis and wife of the late Lt. Col. The Rev. Canon Kells Arthur Minchin in 2001.

Betty worked as a music teacher, having taught at Havergal College in Toronto and from her home over many years. She was an organist and choir director at the various civilian and military parishes where her husband, Kells ministered. Anglican by faith, she attended St. Peter’s Anglican Church. She and Kells lived and travelled extensively, pre and post retirement, establishing many valued friendships. Betty has lived in Fredericton since 2002.

She is survived by two sons John Minchin (Kerry) of Mannville, AB, Keith Minchin (Cyndi) of Fredericton; daughter-in-law Brenda Minchin of Ontario; five grandsons Sean, Lucas, Daniel, Brennan and David; sister-in-law Eleanor Jarvis of Washington State, US; nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a son Peter Minchin in 2009; brothers Leonard Jarvis and Kenneth Jarvis.

A private family funeral service will be held graveside at the Rural Cemetery.
