At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday April 3, 2017, Lloyd Alexander Cochrane of Maugerville went to be with his Lord at the age of 78. Born in Maugerville, NB, he was a son of the late Charles and Mabel (Ladds) Cochrane.

Lloyd spent his working years as a truck driver and woodsman. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Toronto Blue Jays and his lifelong favorite hockey team, the Chicago Blackhawks. He also enjoyed wrestling and country and western music. Lloyd loved spending a lot of time at his camp, with his nephew Jim McLeod.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sheila; his two daughters Beverley Curtis (Donnie) of Sunny Corner, NB and Jill McHugh (Michael) of Lincoln; a granddaughter Emily McHugh; three grandsons Chris McHugh, Dustin and Ryan Deleavey; one sister Christine Bartkiw (Wally) of Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers Bud Cochrane (Mildred) of Nasonworth, Ralph Cochrane of Maugerville, Lawrence Cochrane (Joyce) of Maugerville; special niece Rosalie McLeod; special great niece Dale R. McLeod; several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by five sisters Mary McLeod, Helen Belyea, Jean Colwell, Ethel Cummings and Dorothy Cochrane; a brother Fred Cochrane.

There will be no visitation, by request. A funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Friday April 7, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at a later date.

Memorials to the I.C.U. Unit at the Chalmers Hospital, the S.P.C.A., or donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
