Janett Kieley passed away peacefully Thursday, March 16, at the age of 83 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.  Born March 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Greta Sharpe of Fredericton and the wife of the late Robert (Bob) Kieley.

She is survived by daughter Andrea Tellenbach (Derek) of Fredericton; daughter Suzanne Frankhauser (Wayne Jr.) of Pittston, ME; son Peter (Rachelle) of Fredericton; grandchildren Ryan and Craig Tellenbach, Kevin and Erin Frankhauser, and Megan and Hannah Kieley; great-grandchildren Brooke and Owen Tellenbach; cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, brother Gerald, sisters Marilyn, Muriel, Georgia and Mildred.

Janett was employed in the provincial civil service as well as with Ross Ventures Ltd, and was a homemaker for her children.  She was a member of Wilmot Church and was an active volunteer in the church community over the years.  She enjoyed travelling and was an avid knitter.

Over the past number of years, health challenges limited her, but she took great pride in anything involving her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also stayed active with the Wilmot Church community and looked forward to senior’s outings and the church rummage sale amongst other activities.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital and Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for their support over the years.  Special thanks to Dr. Keschtkar, Dr. Athar, Ellen Bearisto and the staff of 3E at DECH for making her last days peaceful.

A service will be held Sunday, March 19 at 3:00pm at Wilmot United Church.  Burial to take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital Foundation may be made.

She was a great mother, friend, sister and daughter.  She was a role model for her family and others.  After many courageous health battles, she is finally amongst the angels.  She will be missed, but she now has a greater calling.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton (458-1885) Condolences and the sharing of memories may be expressed online through www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
