The passing of Robert Russell King of Fredericton N.B., husband of Irene Helen (Hughes) King occurred on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at home. Born in Chalk River, Ontario, he was the son of the late Robert James and Sarah Ellen (Smith) King.

Russell was employed for 38 years as a Research Scientist at the Agri-Food Canada Potato Research Centre, Fredericton, N.B. His major interests after retirement were golf and travel.

Russell is survived by his wife Irene of 44 years and older sister Jean Helen (King) Bowes, Orangeville Ontario. He is also survived by his brother- in law Peter Midgley and several nieces and nephews. Russell was predeceased by a younger sister Edith Margaret Elizabeth (Midgley) King, Peterborough. Ontario.

At the family’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
