The passing of William (Bill) Adrian Seymour, husband of Pat (Davidson) occurred on Monday February 13, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born August 17, 1933, he was a son of the late Eldon and Mabel (Willis) Seymour.

Adrian joined the navy at an early age which gave him the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world, including crossing the equator, and attending the coronation of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Subsequently, he spent 32 years with the Fredericton Fire Department, retiring with the rank of Platoon Chief. He liked to hunt and fish. He particularly enjoyed the many happy times with family and friends at his camp in Taymouth. He was a harness racing fan and was co-owner of Woodmere Sandman, who raced the maritimes and was a multi-stake winner. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch #4 and the Alexander Lodge no. 333.

Adrian is survived by Pat, his wife of 58 years; his son Larry (Ellen Trambey); his daughter Susan; granddaughter Megan. He was also survived by brothers Warren (Jeanette) and Robin (Louise); sister Donna Barr (Daryl); sisters-in-law June Seymour and Betty Seymour-Smith; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Adrian was pre-deceased by a sister Pearle and brothers Harold and Wendell.

Visitation will take place on Monday February 20, 2017 at Bishop’s Funeral Home Ltd. from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. There will be no funeral service. Interment will be at a later date at the Seymour Memorial Cemetery in Kingsley, NB.  For those who wish, rememberances may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund or the Miramichi Salmon Association.
