The passing of John Arthur "Art" Hudson of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the age of 57. Born in Saint John, NB on November 28, 1959 he was the son of Ruth (McKellar) Hudson and the late David Hudson.

Art was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local 720 and at one time owned his own business in Sussex, NB.

Art leaves behind his loving wife Erma G. (Dolormente) Hudson of Fredericton; a son Alex Hudson of Calgary, AB; granddaughter Makayla Hudson; step-daughters Stacey and Erica; step-grandson Jacob; his mother Ruth Hudson of Saint John; a brother Bill and a sister Laurie both of Saint John; nieces Hayley and Ashley as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Aside from his father, Art was predeceased by a sister Donna Hudson.

At the request of the family, there will be no visitation hours. A memorial service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Father Monte Peters will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date.

The family are so grateful for Dr. N. Keschtkar, Dr. S. Paulin, Dr. J. Gillis-Doyle, Dr. L. Hickey and the Extra Mural Nurses for the excellent care Art received.
