At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on Thursday December 8, 2016, Shauna Audrey Hay passed away at the age of 57. Born in Fredericton, she was a daughter of the late Edward Coates and Willa (Haines) Horsefield. Shauna was employed as a civil servant with the Province of New Brunswick for over 25 years. She was an avid gardener and loved to shop, known affectionately as the "Kijiji Queen".

She is survived by her husband Joe; her son Michael; two daughters Laurel (Andrew) Avery, Holly Edney all of Fredericton; two stepsons Joel Hay (Danielle) and Jonathan Hay (Tara) all of Fredericton; eight grandchildren Sami, Ethan, Cameron, Kaydence, Marissa, Alexis, Noah, and Asher; a sister Debbie Shanks (Greg) of Fredericton; father and mother-in-law Murray and Charlene Hay; sister-in-law Jeannie (Michael) of Nashwaak Bridge; four aunts; two uncles; several nieces, nephews and cousins; her special fur child "Cooper".

Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton with visitation on Monday December 12, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 13, 2016 at 1:00pm at Sunset Church with Rev. Joe Beesley and Rev. Justin Beesley officiating. Interment will be held at the Dayton Cemetery. As an alternative to flowers, the family have requested donations be given to the Cancer Research Society or the I.C.U. Unit at the Chalmers Hospital.
