The family of Margaret A. Wilkins announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday morning, September 28, 2016 at Windsor Court.

Mom was predeceased by her husband, Percy F. Wilkins in 1982 and was the daughter of the late August Lofstrom and Exca Lofstrom.  Mom was born in Fredericton, NB on April 5, 1928 and remained here all her life.  She was the youngest in her family and was predeceased by all of her sisters and brothers, namely, Thelma Williams, Exca Howe, August Lofstrom, Jr., Frank Lofstrom, Carl Lofstrom and John Lofstrom.

Mom is survived by her children, Frank Wilkins, Ronald Wilkins (Sue), August Wilkins (Anne) and Anna-Marie Olive (Harry).  Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Margot Wilkins, Celeste Wilkins and Robert Olive (Meagan) and one great granddaughter Sally Olive.

Mom excelled at most things and she had a passion for sewing, painting and cooking.  A wonderful mother who loved and was loved.

We would like to thank the caring and supportive staff of Windsor Court, Dr. Karen Van Middlesworth, Andrea Crann and mom’s wonderful caregivers over the years.

As per mom’s wishes, she will be cremated and a private family gathering will take place at a later date.  Memorials contributions in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
