It is with sad hearts that the family of Steven Wayne Duffy announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Friday, September 23, 2016. Steven was 55. Born in Germany on June 20, 1961, Steven was a son of Barbara (Shannon) Duffy and the late Alvin Duffy Sr.

Steven was retired from the Provincial Archives.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his mother Barbara Duffy of Fredericton; his sisters, Cindy Compagnon (Gary) of Calgary, Pamela Fay (Claude), Elgina Duffy and Theresa Goodine (Ronnie) all of Fredericton; brothers Alvin Duffy of Albright’s Corner, NB and Ernest Duffy of Fredericton as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and two great-nieces.

Besides his father Alvin Duffy Sr., Steven was predeceased by a brother, Michael "Todd" Duffy.

The family will receive condolences at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 12 Noon until 1:45 PM followed by a memorial service in Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM. Smythe Street Cathedral will preside at the service.

Interment in the Hermitage Cemetery immediately following the service.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Stan Cassidy Centre For Rehabilitation, Fredericton.
