Mr. A. Gordon Mitchell died peacefully at Veterans Memorial in Halifax Nova Scotia on August 27, 2016 in the early morning at the age of 91.
Gordon is survived by his daughters Joan Mowry, (husband David Mowry) and Ruth Mitchell.  His sisters Esther, Julia, Grace and Miriam.  He is predeceased by his wife of 58 years Phyllis (Mullen) Mitchell, brothers Doug and Paul and his sister Carol.

Gordon Mitchell was born on May 20th 1925 in Fredericton New Brunswick to the late Morley and Grace Mitchell.  Gordon married his sweetheart Phyllis Mullen on June 11th 1952 in Fredericton by the bride’s father Hartley Mullen.  At a young age Gordon became a World War II Veteran and worked as a sales man after.  The two most important things in Gordon’s life were his relationship with God and his family.

A funeral is scheduled on Thursday, September 1st at 2:00 pm and the visitation will be Wednesday, August 31st from 7-9pm.  Both will take place at Bishop’s Funeral home 540 Woodstock Rd. Fredericton.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
