On Tuesday, August 9, 2016, Viola May Carr completed her earthly journey and went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Viola passed away peacefully at White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction, NB surrounded by the love of her family.

Viola was born in Geary, NB on May 12, 1928, a daughter of the late Glasier and Alice (Smith) Carr. She lived all her life in Geary until she took up residence at White Rapids Manor where she made many lasting friendships.

Viola was a passionate Christion lady who dedicated her life to prayer and serving her Lord. She touched many lives with her love of life and kindness. One of Viola’s favorite things to do was sing and singing was an important part of her walk with God. Viola was dearly love by so many and her presence will be greatly missed.

Viola is survived by her dear and devoted sister, Yvonne Player of Geary and many much loved and treasured nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great nephews and a host of friends.

Besides her parents, Viola was predeceased by a sister, Marion Halman and brothers, Ronald and Arlington Carr.

Viola will be resting at the United Pentecostal Church of Geary, 4 Lauvina Road, Geary, NB on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A service celebrating Viola’s life will be held from the church on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. E.S. McKeen officiating. Interment to follow in the Preston Carr Cemetery, Geary.
