It is with sadness that we announce the death of Wendy (Doherty) DuPlessis-Robinson after a lengthy illness.

Wendy was born in Fredericton to Reverend Ernest and Mrs. Jennie Doherty. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Harvey DuPlessis and her second husband, Raymond Robinson. She is survived by her sister-in-law Nancy DuPlessis, and her two beloved cats, Ginger and Scamp.

Wendy was a hairdresser by trade, working in many well-known beauty shops in Fredericton, before opening her own shop, "A Cut Above".

She was a true animal advocate, and her years of volunteer work for the SPCA were a special part of Wendy’s life. She rarely missed a fund-raiser or any other event, if it involved helping animals.

Wendy’s great courage and determination to live, when faced with a terminal illness was truly admirable. She will be missed by her friends and many former customers.

At Wendy’s request, there will be no funeral. In remembrance of Wendy, donations can be made to the Fredericton SPCA, or any other local animal rights organization. Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road have been entrusted with arrangements.
