It is with sad hearts that the family of Mavis Mary Mazerall of Doak Road, Fredericton, announce her passing on May 26, 2016 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Mavis was 83. Born in Stanley, NB, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Harvey) MacKinnon and the beloved wife of the late Maurice A. Mazerall.

Besides being a homemaker, Mavis was a much loved Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, endearing herself to the many friends she made over the years. She also was a lecturer with Weight Watchers and a dedicated committee member of the Osteoporosis Society. She also served as a Board Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery and was a faithful member of Holy Family Parish.

Mavis loved and was loved dearly by her family and she leaves behind a legacy of inspiration, empowerment, precious memories and a gift of love, example and strength. Leaving behind to cherish her memory are daughter, Fern Forrest (Berny) of Rusagonis; sons, Harvey (Cathy) of Fredericton, Gordon (Donna) of Lincoln, Terry (Bonnie) of Saint John, Richard (Nicole) of Noonan and Travis (Liann) of New Maryland. Mavis was continually delighted by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they always held a special place in her heart. Mavis is also survived by sisters Jean Hood (late Bill) of Stanley and June Elliott (Fred) of Tay Creek; also brothers, Douglas (Shirley) of Williamsburg, William (Bev) of Fredericton, David "Dick" of Stanley and Stanley "Chub" (Deanna) of Stanley; sisters-in-law Judy MacKinnon and Marion MacKinnon; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many loving members of the Mazerall family.

Aside from her parents and husband Maurice (2015), Mavis was predeceased by brothers Wendell and Clifford; sisters Pearl Green (late Willis) and Shirley MacDonald (late Lloyd Kitchen).

The family will receive visitors at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Family Parish, 1500 Hanwell Rd., Hanwell, NB on Monday, May 30 at 12:00 Noon with Father Monte Peters as Celebrant. Interment in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Hanwell.
