It is with great sadness that the family of Glenna Patricia (Holyoke) Harmount of Phoenix, AZ. announces her death at the Palliative Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. on February 1, 2016 at the age of 92. She was the oldest daughter of the late E. Raymond and Ruby G. (Lawrence) Holyoke.
Glenna is survived by her daughter Sandra Joyce Harris (Bob Molner); her son Michael Ronald Grant and his four children David, Julie, Emily and Lindsay; one sister Lucy Marie Imbach; one brother Joseph Raymond Holyoke; a number of great grandchildren; 1st husband Ronald Preston Grant; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Aside from her parents she was predeceased by her 2nd husband Morris Kent Harmount; four brothers Donald, Bert, Tyler and Robin Holyoke, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Glenna graduated from Normal School in 1942 as a school teacher and taught school in New Brunswick for six years, before leaving to go to Detroit, Michigan with her husband and daughter in the summer of 1948 settling in Farmington, Michigan. Glenna was formerly a member of the Keswick Ridge United Church and after leaving for and living in Farmington, she became a member of the Presbyterian Church.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been held and her ashes will be brought back to New Brunswick this summer to be buried in the Pickard Merrithew Cemetery alongside her parents and the rest of the family. www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
