It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Vaughn Robert Knorr of Burton, NB on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was 75. Born at Central Blissville, NB on April 8, 1940, he was the chosen son of the late Peleg and Violet (Carr) Knorr.

Vaughn was Anglican by faith. A Glazier by trade, he worked for D.N.D. for 34 years. Vaughn was a member of the I.O. Foresters No. 1712 and 2nd Vise President of the R.C.L. Gladstone Branch #55, Fredericton Junction. Vaughn had a great passion for softball and was well known on the field as an Umpire for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Tri-County Bowling League.

Vaughn leaves behind his beloved wife of 52 years, Darlene (Hall) Knorr and his 5 much loved children, Bob of Waasis, Stephen (Ginny) of Springfield, NB, Janette Burns of Oromocto, Monica Marche (Leo) of Middle Sackville, NS and Eugene (Patty Picard) of Geary. Vaughn was very proud of and cherished each of his 10 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. He is survived by brothers Eugene (Madeline), Michael (Carol), Randy (Debbie), Terry and sisters, Judy, Sandra (Jim), Lynn and Elizabeth (Doug); numerous nieces and nephews.

Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his biological mother Gertrude, his first wife June (Kelly) Knorr and siblings Robert, Shirley, Agnes, Lee, Sharon and grandson Jackson.

Visitation will be held from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 250 Sunbury Dr., Fredericton Junction, NB on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM and funeral service will be held at the same location, Thursday, November 26 at 11:00 AM. Bishop George C. Lemmon will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
