The death of Louise Belanger, age 82, occurred on October 31st at the DECH in Fredericton. Louise was born on May 22nd, 1933 in Danbury, CT to the late John and Teresa (Falvo) Scalzo.
Louise worked for Reader’s Digest in New York prior to marrying her husband George in 1956. She worked as an Administrative Secretary at UNB for 20 years and after her retirement, she did volunteer work at the DECH. Louise was an active member of St. Dunstan’s Roman Catholic Church.
Louise will be deeply missed by her children: Michael (Terry) of Fredericton, Brent (Julie) of Stittsville ON and Susan Italia (Dr. Mark) of Palm Harbor FL, 6 Grandsons: Ferran, Justin, George, Eric, Luc & Sebastian, 2 Brothers: Richard & Robert of Danbury & 1 Sister: Mari of Venice FL, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Louise was pre-deceased by her husband George (1990), grandson Alex, brothers Mario, John & Harry and sisters Yolanda and Gloria.
There will be no visitation by request. Funeral to take place November 5th , 10 am at St. Dunstan’s Roman Catholic Church, Fredericton with Fr. Bill Brennan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Dunstan’s Parish Building Fund, Hermitage Cemetery Fund or the Chalmers Hospital Foundation.
