A new and glorious day dawned for Doris May Wilson on Monday, September 14, 2015 when she left this earthy life and went home to be with her Lord. She was 71. Doris, the loving and devoted wife of Robert "Bob" Wilson for 55 years, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton.                                                                                                           

Born February 15, 1944 in Chipman, NB, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Bertha (Stillwell) Bishop. Doris was a faithful member of Capital Community Church, Fredericton. Her working career would involve the DND (Base Supply) in Germany and upon her return to Canada she was employed as a clerk with Chippin Bro.’s and C.F.B. Gagetown Canex. She would later return to work with the DND at C.F.B. Gagetown in N.P.F as a payroll and accounts payable clerk. Following a 12 year service with the C.F.B. Gagetown Credit Union, Doris was forced to retire due to ill health. Her working career would span a period of 23 years. She leaves behind her loving husband Robert "Bob"; two daughters, Sonia Allain (Bernard) of Angus, Ont. and Stephanie Wilson (Valenda) of Atlanta, Georgia; one son, Lorne Wilson (Natalie) of Halifax, NS; six grandchildren, Tanya Allain, Renee Grant, Jessica Breadner, Joshua Allain, Caitlyn Wilson and Alexandra Wilson; one great grandson, Josiah. Also surviving are four sisters, Phyllis Jardine of Surrey, BC, Grace Smith (Jack), Sandra Robinson and Lynn Boudreau (Robert) all of Chipman; two brothers, Glenn Bishop (Melissa) of Chipman and Brian Bishop of Westfield; nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents, sisters Catherine Fowler and Barbara Morell, brothers Lee Bishop and Allison Bishop all predeceased her. 

Although there will be no visitation hours as per Doris’s request, relatives and friends are welcome to attend a service of celebration for the life of Doris May Wilson to be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM  from Capital Community Church, 71 Downing St., Fredericton. Officiating clergy will be Rev. Jack Leaman. Interment in the Pentecostal Cemetery, Chipman, NB at a later date.

No flowers by request, memorials to the Northeast Christian College, 17 McGloin St., Fredericton, NB, E3A 4K2 would be appreciated by the family.
