The passing of Ralph Stanley Nason of Fredericton, husband of the late Mabel M. (Stone) Nason, occurred at Pine Grove Nursing Home on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the age of 97.

Born February 16, 1918 in Oromocto, NB, Ralph was a son of the late Thomas and Jessie (Wood) Nason.

Ralph was employed as a Ford Farm Machinery Dealer with Saunders and Nason Ltd. prior to his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, Ralph had an appreciation for nature, the beauty, peace and tranquility it offered and he especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ralph was an Honorary Member of the Lake George Gun Club. He was also a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Fredericton.

Ralph is survived by a son, Butch Nason (Fredi) of Douglas and two daughters, Linda Clowater (Jack) of Fredericton and Cynthia LeBlanc (Bob) of Noonan; five grandchildren, Casey O’Hara (Andrew), Christopher Nason, Brian Clowater (Jennifer), Jason Leger (Jen) and Todd Clowater (Kim); seven great-grandchildren, Chris, Daniel, Brady, Jaxon, Ella, Ben and Evan. Ralph also leaves behind sisters, Phyllis Spencer (Gerald) and Louise Troughton both of Ontario and a brother, Holly Nason (Shirley) of Ontario as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and wife, Ralph was predeceased by a granddaughter, L. Jane Nason; a great-granddaughter, Melissa Nason; a sister, Ethel Corbey (late leo) and brothers, Stewart (late Wanda), Arthur and Robert.

Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM followed by a service from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 16 at 11:00 AM with The Revd. Canon Kevin M. Stockall officiating. Interment in the Rural Cemetery, Woodstock Road, Fredericton.

For memorial contributions, the family have suggested the Pine Grove Foundation or a favorite charity of the donor’s choice.
