Mae Alice (Hanson) Grant

The passing of Mae Alice (Hanson) Grant of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Friday, September 26, 2008 at the age of 81. Born May 1, 1927 in Barker’s Point, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Beryl Anita (Graves) Wasson. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church and will always be remembered as being a “fun loving lady”.

Mae is survived by her devoted and loving companion of 38 years, Howard Grant; two sisters, Annie Madden (Harry) of Fredericton and Shirley Ellis (Roy) of Lucan, Ontario; special nieces, Della Brewer, Cindy Wasson and Carol Harrison as well as other nieces and nephews.

Although there will be no public visitation, relatives and friends are welcome to join the family at a memorial service to be held Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton. Rev. Doug Hapeman and Rev. Bob Malcolm will officiate. Interment at a later date. Memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
